Abstract : This paper analyzes NATO's military objectives and the strategy employed to accomplish those objectives. It also looks at the components of this strategy: Forward Defense and Follow on Forces Attack. The main body of the paper is an analysis of NATO's military forces including their nuclear and conventional forces. This analysis looks at the deployment of the air, land, and ground forces and details their strengths and weaknesses. Included in this study are C3I assets and logistics. Finally, the study makes some recommendations to improve NATO's warfighting ability. Keywords: Command control communications; Military strategy.
