Abstract : The U.S. Army has had computers in its inventory since 1946 when the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Calculator (ENIAC) was delivered to the U.S. Army Ordnance Department. This military studies project looks at the requirements for the computer literacy of the senior officers, while reflecting on the training received by the junior officers. A search for the requirements for the senior officers is based upon the Professional Development of Officers Study (PDOS) and how these requirements will match the future of the Army. Lastly, the AWC computer education system is looked at to see if it meets the needs of the current officers.
