Abstract : In our first year of AASERT support, we have developed the necessary instrumentation and computer programs for measuring the mobilities of cluster ions using ion modulation/arrival time techniques. As a test of the methodology, we have carried out a systematic study of the mobility of CO+ in helium buffer gas as a function of drift field and have found excellent agreement with previous results.
