Abstract : This final technical report summarizes research accomplished by Syracuse University, Purdue University, and the University of California at Berkeley under the Expert Science and Engineering Program. The research accomplished a high-level analysis and feasibility study for building a virtual machine model for parallel software development. The report summarizes the three approaches (components, compiler techniques, and client-server) recommended by the researchers.
