Abstract : This research focuses on the current regulations and policies of the Republic of Korea (R.O.K.) governing specified contract types. The objectives of this research are: (1) to review the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) related to contract types; (2) to identify major elements for the selection of appropriate contract type; (3) to evaluate current R.O.K regulations and laws which define contract type application; (4) to compare the FAR with that of R.O.K. regulation; and (5) to recommend a proposal to change the R.O.K. regulations for best value procurement.
