Abstract : The temperature to voltage transfer characteristics of the standard turbine inlet temperature averaging sensor for the T56 turbo-prop engine are derived using measured resistance parameters for the 18-thermocouple network. The transfer characteristics of an add-on individual thermocouple temperature sensing circuit are also derived and some of the requirements of the associated signal conditioning circuit are briefly reviewed.
