Abstract : In this report we present some results on the formal treatment of expert opinion in reliability analysis. We discuss a procedure which uses opinion of one or two experts for undertaking the reliability assessment of a component. Then we develop the methodology for point processes broadly used in the analysis of defect and count data. (AN)
