Abstract : Current velocities and temperatures were measured using an array of current meter moorings (CM Ms) deployed along a line across the Japan Trench near 35 N, 143 deg E, as part of the Kuroshio Extension Regional Experiment (KERE). A total of 15 instruments were distributed among five moorings. The resulting time series data describe deep currents as well as the Kuroshio where it separates from the Japanese Coast. The moorings were deployed from July 1992 through June 1994. This report describes the CMM data. (MM)
