Abstract : Our work focuses on molecular recognition by biopolymers as a model for interactions between macromolecules in general. Specifically we are learning the rules that govern protein-nucleic acid (both DNA and RNA) binding. Chemical synthesis, molecular genetics, biophysical observations, including nmr and CD, and computer simulations serve as general experimental approaches used in this work.
