Abstract : The popular atmospheric transmittance radiance computer code MODTRAN has been upgraded to a model called AURIC-M, with improved ultraviolet capability. The atmospheric profiles were increased to many more layers, and extended to higher altitudes. The solar source irradiance spectrum was improved, and a simple variability model added. An improved Schumann-Runge absorption model with 1/cm resolution was incorporated, along with the ability to compute molecular photodissociation rates.
