Abstract : This report covers research performed under Grant AFOSR-91-0052. The work consisted of five separate projects: (1) Active Control of Jet Engine Surge; (2) Turbomachinery Vortical Flows in an Adverse Pressure Gradient; (3) Enhanced Mixing Using Embedded Streamwise Vorticity; (4) Rotor-Stator Interaction and Turbomachinery Stall Behavior; and (5) Suction and Blowing Strategies for Fan Noise Reduction.
