Abstract : The objective of this program was to design and fabricate twelve NASA-QCSEE type composite fan blades utilizing wet filament winding fabrication techniques. All composite fibers were continuous and attached to the root ends. All components were formed, bended and co-cured in one molding process. Advanced fiber materials used in the blade fabrication were Thoinel-200, Carbolon 2-2-1, and Carbolon 2-3 graphite in an epoxy train matrix.
