Abstract : The overall purpose of the supplemental field study (SPS) is to resolve the biomagnification factor (BMF) dispute issue that was raised by the EPA upon its review of the August 1993 draft final integrated endangerment/risk characterization (TEA/RC) report. Work to be conducted in SFS-Phase I involved collecting and analysing biota tissue samples from RMA 'area of dispute' (AOD). A specific area where ecological risk may or may not be present. If the SFS-Phase I indicates that unacceptable risks to biota are likely, then a SFS-Phase II sampling program may be initiated to collect additional tissue and soil data to estimate field BMFD for selected species. This sampling and analysis plan details how field samples will be collected and analyzed for the contaminants of concern in the SFS-Phase I. This report is organized into the following sections and appendices: section 1.0-introduction. Section 2.0-site background information. Section 3.0-field sampling program. Section 4.0-laboratory analysis program. Section 5.0-quality assurance project plan.
