Abstract : The TIME STRIKE munitions optimization model was introduced in 1995 for use by various US Air Force agencies to develop requirements for conventional munitions, to refine operational plans based on the availability of different mixes of munitions, and to assess the effects of procuring different types and quantities of munitions. TIME STRIKE was developed under the sponsorship of HQ US Air Force, the Air Force Studies and Analyses Agency, and HQ Air Combat Command to consolidate and extend three existing munitions optimization models. The report covers both the formulation of the new large scale linear programming model and extensions to the existing models that were included in TIME STRIKE.
