Abstract : Structural adhesives are preferred over the customary penetration techniques for joining of modern lightweight-composite materials. Their usage increased considerably during the last decade in the aerospace, automotive, naval, and many other industries. Structural adhesives are superior to conventional means of joining materials because of their flexibility and toughness, lightness of weight, exceptional thermal stability solvent and moisture resistance, and excellent mechanical properties at room and elevated temperatures. jg p9
