Abstract : Cultural Resource Site 4lCV1505, The Leon River Medicine Wheel at Fort Hood, is a unique sacred site and should be protected. It was discovered in February 1990, and as part of the ongoing base-wide evaluation of cultural resources by the United States Army, was scheduled for National Register evaluation in May 1994. The archeological assessment was conducted by Mariah Associates, Inc. (a subsidiary of TRC Environmental Company) immediately prior to a Native American ceremony which rededicated and renewed the spiritual harmony of the Leon River Medicine Wheel.
