Abstract : The objectives of this contract were to demonstrate the feasibility, and evaluate the useability, of Hierarchical Control Flow Graph (HCFG) Models as a way of specifying hierarchical models for discrete event simulation. The scope of the contract was to develop a prototype system called HI-MASS (Hierarchical Modeling and Simulation System) to aid in accomplishing the objectives of the contract and to evaluate the effectiveness of hierarchical modeling using HCFG Models for discrete event simulation.
