Abstract : The proliferation of antipersonnel landmine use has created problems world-wide. This study identifies and clarifies the complex issues that have created the current landmine dilemma. In addition, this research discusses international and Congressional attempts to regulate antipersonnel landmine use and critically analyzes these efforts. This paper also proposes recommendations as to what the role of the United States should be in resolving the land mine dilemma.
