Abstract : General Mcpeak made sweeping changes to the Air Force during his tenure as Chief of Staff of the Air Force. This assessment analyzes his changes from a organizational cultural management perspective. The paper reviews the- two dominant subcultures of the Air Force, Strategic Air Command and Tactical Air Command, and how General Mcpeak impacted these cultures to secure his vision for the future Air Force.
