Abstract : This program has been extremely successful with over 50 publications and presentations (see the enclosed publication list). During this period, we had two publications in Nature, two in Physical Review Letters, and the remaining publications in other reputed journals. Both Nature and the American Chemical Society decided to have a news release on our photorefractive results. Not only did we obtain the most efficient photorefractive polymer to date, but we also demonstrated and reported the first observation of-excitonic strings in an organic crystal. The following is a summary of our achievements.
