Abstract : This report presents analyses studies, research results, and other pertinent information related to investigations of human exposure to radiofrequency radiation (RFR). The topics discussed are the ANSI/IEEE RFR-exposure guidelines; environmental levels in 15 U.S. cities; and epidemiological/occupational studies, including positive and negative findings on general human health, congenital abnormalities, ocular effects, and reports of cancer incidence. Also discussed are studies in which human volunteers were exposed to RFR to investigate: the RFR-auditory effect, cutaneous perception of RFR, and RFR shock and burn. It is concluded that the human studies collectively provide no unequivocal scientific evidence that chronic exposure to RFR at intensities equal to or below those specified in the ANSI/IEEE exposure guidelines would be detrimental to human health.
