Abstract : The goal of this document is to describe the behaviors inherent in the calling of officership in the future of the US Army Medical Service Corps (MSC). A population of over 170 senior MSC colonels was asked to identify career behavior requirements needed for officer leadership in the 21st century. A content analysis of response frequencies identified a set of 14 major qualities as being most important to junior MSC officers who wish to be successful in the US Army in the next 10-15 years.
