Abstract : The Executive Management Education Program is the Department of the Navy's competency-based educational program for senior health care executives. It is designed to prepare Navy Medical Department officers for the challenges of managing modern military health care programs. This research effort analyzes the requirements of an information system to support the Executive Management Education Program. The systems development life cycle is used as a project management tool to guide system development. A requirements study is conducted to determine the information needs of the various customers. Process data, and network models are used to describe system requirements. A prototype single-user system is implemented using Microsoft Access 2.0 and an architecture for a multi-user client server database application is proposed.
