Abstract : Logistical support of multinational forces has traditionally been a national responsibility. For many years military forces bore uniquely national characteristics, making the task of devising anything other than a national system of sustainment almost impossible if not unthinkable. Revolutionary changes with regard to military operations in this post Cold War era gives way to increased multinational or coalition operations that demand a reconsideration of how we collectively sustain the force. This study explores the degree of multinationality achievable and the integration of the sustainment effort occurring in multinational endeavors.
