Abstract : The purpose of report is to describe the methodology and execution of the field verification test of the measurement system based on battle tasks for close air support in a Low Intensity Conflict, and to provide the results of that test. The increased emphasis on interservice operations make it both practical and worthwhile to develop an air-ground training and feedback system. Air-ground training and feedback system results, organized into a common database, would provide information that would facilitate training evaluation and development by both Army and Air force. The data collected using such a system could also provide a quantifiable basis for further training resource requirements. This study was designed to extend a previous analysis of the utilization of close air support in mid-intensity combat to the use of close air support in a low intensity conflict. Extending the previous analysis will maximize the commonality of low intensity and mid-intensity measurement systems, which should reduce development costs and result in a more usable product.
