Abstract : This manual is for use as an aid to the individual soldier and the junior leader in learning how to prepare for and conduct jungle combat. Emphasis is placed on techniques which will enable the soldier to fight, live, and move in the varied types of terrain, vegetation, and climatic conditions peculiar to jungle. It will furnish guidance to commanders and staff officers in the preparation of units for combat and will afford a reference on doctrinal concepts applicable to jungle operations.
