Abstract : This report is dedicated to numerical simulations of subcritical crack growth which are based on the Crack Layer Kinetic Model. Various types of loadings are considered, i.e., simple and eccentric tension, three and four point bending, dipole on the crack boundaries, constant and time varying loads. As a result, lifetime-load relations are established, a new approach to brittle material toughness assessment is proposed, and a method of reliability prediction for structural components is developed.
