Abstract : This documented briefing examines the Army Space Exploitation Demonstration Program (ASEDP) and its role within the Army. There are three broad reasons why now is an opportune time to review the program: (1) the Army has not yet achieved a complete and effective incorporation of space into all its operations; (2) the program has several areas that are recognizably in need of improvement; and (3) the world has changed greatly in the past few years, and the Army has changed as well. The study's objectives were to review the ASEDP demonstration selection process and its interfaces and to make recommendations about the program's future role and conduct. This briefing is structured around three primary research questions: (1) How can you improve the demo selection process? (2) What do key Army people think about the program and Army space efforts in general? and (3) What future direction should the ASEDP take?
