Abstract : We have developed a new version of particle-in-cell code which is capable of independently following the electromagnetic and electrostatic fields. The new code was used to simulate Phillip Laboratory Gyro BWO experiments. We observed that the space charge field plays only a minor role because the azimuthal phase bunching dominates over spatial bunchings.
