Abstract : This document describes the geometric modelling of the DAF SP LVB vehicle by the TNO Prins Maurits Laboratory (TNO-PML), Division Weapons and Weapon Platforms, research group Weapons Effectiveness with the BRL-CAD package by order of the TNO Physics and Electronics Laboratory (TNO-FEL), Division Observation Systems, research group Electro-Optical Systems Group. The specific constrain for IR-geometrical models with respect to the 'Physically Reasonable Infrared Signature Model' (PRISM) are not yet well understood. Therefore, a formal approach was used, dealing with the specification, design, implementation and testing. The formal approach and reporting activities resulted in a geometrical model, whereas the insight in the specific requirements and constrain of FRED and PRISM is considerably increased. From the experiences of this study it was concluded that geometrical model exchange between TNO-PML and TNO-FEL will be very riscfull. This because the TNO-PML models are generated for vulnerability/lethality studies and therefore focussed on specific pans of the targets. It was concluded that the first collaboration between TNO-PML and TNO-FEL, dealing with geometrical modelling for IR-study, was successful. It is to be expected that for the near future the TNO-PML will generate more geometrical models for TNO-FEL, for the Electro-Optics as well as other research groups.
