Abstract : During the second year of this project, the components of the model of breast cancer screening were outlined and coding begun. The literature on the natural history of breast cancer was carefully reviewed with consulting experts, and a modeling strategy was developed based on the findings. Model code is divided into independent modules to facilitate future changes and enhancement. A collaboration with researchers at NCI was initiated to extend the model to defined populations, and a paper was submitted for publication.
