Abstract : Deployment of military staff to the north exposes them to the debilitating effects of high heat and humidity. This paper summarises the findings of a series of visit to several military establishments in northern Australia and a training battalion in NSW. Areas of research priority were identified and recommendations were given to address ADF's requirements in human physiological performance and survivability in adverse environments.
