Abstract : Downsizing and re-engineering, the buzzwords of the 90s, have come to the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command. Due to personnel constraints, such as hiring freezes and reductions in force, organizations face the challenge of accomplishing their missions with dwindling resources. To meet those challenges, TECOM has implemented a provisional reorganization, one that will not adversely affect its missions or major functions. This will increase the command's efficiency as it prepares for the 21st century. For example, the proposed organizational structure for the new Directorate for Technical Mission, shown below, will be led by Mr. Gary Holloway. This directorate will replace the old Directorate for Test and Assessment and includes some of the functions of the former Directorate for Corporate Information and Technology.
