Abstract : Direct digital control (DDC) of heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment has become a popular building retrofit. However, converting a building to DDC will not always save energy. In fact, it is not uncommon for energy consumption to increase after installing DDC equipment. This TechData Sheet provides information to help determine if a DDC project qualifies as an energy project.
