Abstract : Drag prediction is the most important and challenging problem in aerodynamics. Experimental, empirical, analytical and numerical approaches, singly and in concert, have addressed this problem with varying degrees of success (and notable failures). This report reviews the published material on drag prediction through January 1984., The subject of wind tunnel to flight drag correlation will be reviewed in a later report.
