Abstract : Photorefractive quantum well devices were evaluated for use in holographic processing of high speed lightwave signals by measuring the shape of a diffracted femtosecond pulse. Pulses diffracted from photorefractive quantum wells were broadened, but remained nearly transform limited. The phase of the diffracted pulse remained essentially flat.
