Abstract : The United States government is in the midst of pursuing avenues to reduce the budget deficit and balance the budget. In efforts to support government strategies, the military as a whole must determine cost-savings alternative means to train its personnel while still training to standard and meeting the expectations of the field and the service members it trains. Distance learning strategies that will play a big part in the training of Army personnel are well-suited to the training of combat medics. In turn, the needs of the combat medic and the Army leadership will be fulfilled and contribute to Army readiness and the national military strategy.
