Abstract : Understanding the specific mechanisms involved in the regulation of water balance by the kidney will provide information needed to design preventive measures for dealing with potential adverse conditions that may result in water deprivation and decreased renal responsiveness to vasopressin. The present study is designed to determine the cellular mechanisms involved in reduced fluid reabsorption and membrane reorganization following the removal of the actions of ADH.
