Abstract : Collaborative practice has been shown to improve the satisfaction of patients/families, nurses, and physicians, produce significant cost savings, and improved the quality of care in civilian health care organizations. This study sought to determine the level of collaborative practice in Air Force Medical Treatment Facilities, as perceived by active duty nurses and physicians, and examine the impact of certain demographic characteristics on those perceptions.
