Abstract : A method has been developed for making very accurate position and angular attitude measurements over the trajectory of gun launched, fin stabilised weapons. The method has been extensively used for free flight testing of weapon models. This report describes the on board instrumentation, the range instrumentation and the experimental procedure used to carry out the trajectory measurements. The post trials processing of the camera records is also described and a brief account given of the analysis used to derive vehicle aerodynamics.
