Abstract : Introduction. An energy audit was performed at the Cold Storage Facility (Building #5202) at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, on September 10-11, 1992 by Ogden Environmental and Energy Services. Electrical energy demand and consumption were measured by Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) personnel between September 18 - October 19, 1992. This draft report presents findings from the survey and results of an analysis of energy conservation opportunities (ECOs) listed in the scope of work or identified during the survey. Building Data. The Cold Storage Facility (CSF) was designed and built in 1964 as a cold storage and meat cutting plant and encompasses 29,300 square feet. The CSF is presently used as a storage and distribution facility. The meat-cutting area is no longer used as such, because meat is received precut. The facility serves 29 dining facilities, Reserve and Guard Units, schools, and hospitals on post. Electricity and natural gas are used at the CSF.
