Abstract : This project intends to identify Brucella antigens which are likely to stimulate Th1 responses (with production of lNF-gamma) with lymphocytes from vaccinated mice and therefore, are likely to have a role in the induction of protective immunity against brucellosis. Once such antigens have been identified, the genes encoding those antigens will be isolated, sequenced and their products will be characterized. Using these genes, recombinant vaccinia viruses will be constructed.
