Abstract : This study is broadly concerned with the processes and methods that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) employs to examine control technology options and to estimate compliance costs and other regulatory impacts in support of its major regulatory actions. This report responds to Congress's interest in better understanding the nature and soundness of the analytical procedures OSHA conducts in these substantive areas.
