Abstract : This first annual report of the National Turbine Engine High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) Program is a brief review of work completed, work in progress, and technical accomplishments. This program is a coordinated effort with participation by the Army, Navy, Air Force and NASA. The technical efforts are organized under seven Action Teams including: Materials Damage Tolerance Research, Forced Response Prediction,Component Analysis, Instrumentation, Passive Damping Technology, Component Surface Treatments, and Aeromechanical Characterization. Daniel E. Thomson, AFRL/PRTC, Wright-Patterson AFB, is the Program Manager.
