Abstract : This report results from a contract tasking Institute of Physics Academy of Sciences as follows: The contractor will design and construct a jet singlet oxygen generator appropriate for a supersonic chemical oxygen iodine laser (COIL). Characterize the generator by measuring the O2 concentration, the residual chorine concentration and the water vapor concentration. The flow parameters of the jet will also be measured. Investigate generator reliability and optimize the system parameters. Upgrade the pumping system to the point where it will handle a supersonic COIL.
