Abstract : This study is designed to evaluate the use of MRI in screening patients that are at high risk for breast cancer. Patients that based on family pedigree meet a 30% lifetime risk of breast cancer are entered into this study. Patients undergo physical exam, MRI, and traditional mammography. This is a four year study with 75 new patients being enrolled each year. Patients are evaluated yearly under this protocol. To date, 60 patients have been entered into this study. No formal interim analysis has yet been performed. We anticipate meeting our target accrual of 150 patients at the two year mark at which time interim analysis will be performed.
