Abstract : Over 200 individuals were interviewed at 13 major Army installations throughout the continental United States--those installations receiving the largest numbers of CTF graduate personnel-in each of the five Army Areas. While an attempt was made to interview every CTF graduate at each facility, time as well as physical limitations precluded this in certain instances. The total number of interviews, for the purposes of this study, was about equally divided between individuals performing in a satisfactory manner (restorees) and those who had committed subsequent violations and were receiving punitive action or sentences (recidivists). Data were collected using two methods: subjects were asked to complete the Research Questionnaire, then recorded interviews were conducted with each individual.
