Abstract : Climatic conditions at camp Fistclench during the summer of 1959 were cooler, foggier, less windy, and less snowy than the average of former summers on record. During one 7-hour period at the end of July 1959 the temperature hovered slightly above freezing, but no surface melting occurred in undisturbed ares and sticky snow did not become a problem.
