Abstract : The recent development and introduction into service of new and sophisticated methods for the measurement of icing cloud parameters in an icing wind tunnel or engine test cell has led to some doubt being cast on the accuracy of the simple basic method of liquid water content measurement that has been employed for many years by a number of test and research agencies, namely the single rotating cylinder.
