Abstract : The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of the Denver formation sands in the vicinity of the prosed containment barrier extensions along the north boundary of RMA. Specific objectives include obtaining sufficient hydrogeologic data to ascertain: (A) The presence and extent of water-bearing Denver sands, (B) The maximum depth of contamination in these sands, (c) The concentration of contamination present, and (D) The physical and Hydrologic characteristics of the sands (i.e. grain size, color, piezometric levels, interconnecting of aquifers, transmissivity and permeability)
